Can I See Your I.D.?
Chris Barton
This book consists of ten short stories of false identities. Each story follows a different person through their adventure of going undercover. Some people use their disguise to gain fame, others to simply survive, and a few just for the thrill. All of the stories are true and some date back to the civil war while others are as recent as the twenty-first century. The deception and adventure in each story makes this a book one you just can’t put down.
Why I picked it up: On the cover of the book it says “true stories of false identities” and after that I just had to know more.
Why I finished it: Each story in this book is fascinating. I finished the book because I had to know what happened to each person. I wanted to know if they were captured or whether anyone ever figured out who they really were.
Who I would give it to: Anyone who likes adventure and also non-fiction fans.
I’d give it: 4 stars
